music 2 Does Music Contribute to the Secret of Happiness?

Music Brings Happiness

Shakespeare wrote ‘If music be the food of love, play on’, but music isn’t just about love, it can be about a whole range of emotions. We all have favorite pieces of music; songs that we know made us smile things that we sing along to. Different songs make us react in different ways and we all know which songs will bring up the corners of our mouth when we need a boost; which songs will make us dance around the room as if no one is watching. There are times when I am feeling a little low I know I can put on some of my favorite music, and my mood will be lifted as the song plays.  I have to admit that when I listen to Bruce Springsteen I can really start rocking.

In an average day it is estimated that we have around 60,000 thoughts.  Have you consciously wondered how many of your thoughts are happy thoughts?

Let’s face it happy people think more happy thoughts than unhappy people. It sure doesn’t take rocket science to figure that out.  Clearly when we think happy thoughts, we create our happiness within, which obviously leads to a happier out come in any situation.

Happy thoughts connect us and give confidence and courage to act, which in turn empowers us to believe.  Obviously is this going to help live our lives according to our hopes and dreams.

Happiness is purely a choice you alone make.  Change the way you think and create an ongoing positive outlook with yourself.  Yaro Starak has a wonderfully written blog post on happiness within that I would like to share with you.  You can find it at http://www.entrepreneurs-journey.com/396/key-to-happiness/

He has a really wonderful exercise that everyone needs to try when it comes to finding happiness within.

Who Are The Happy People and Why?

Posted by: Debbie Bills | Comments (2)

I am seeing that people really want to know why some people are happy and others aren’t.

I truly believe the answer to that question has a lot to do with ones belief in God.  I am not one that goes around professing to be a Christian, but I do know in my heart there is God and there is our Savior Jesus and because of my baptism I do have the Holy Spirit in me.  I was brought up in a Christian house hold, which I am very grateful for.   I do belong to the church that I was raised in; however I do not go to church every Sunday.  Maybe I should, because I do know that it does make your faith stronger.  The last time I was in a church was when my last grandchild was baptized.  That would be 14 months ago.  I’m bad.

I did an article a while back on “Why some people are not Happy and other people very happy.”

In that article I was trying to point out that money really isn’t the answer to happiness.  I do know that yes, in some ways it sure can help.  Hey, I’m not that dumb, but it sure isn’t what makes one happy day after day, week after week and year after year.

When we have a problem what is the first things we have to figure out?

1.Where the problem is coming from?        Choose to be Happy

2.Why we have this problem.

I was sitting there last night watching the president talk and I really had to laugh.

These politicians come into the room and are kissing and hugging each other.  What a show.  Now tell me what would happen if you had a room full of college kids that started hugging and kissing each other when they walked to their class room?  When young people go into a class room they go in to learn and get something accomplished.  Isn’t that what politicians are suppose to be doing.  Listening and getting something accomplished.

The very purpose of life is to love and Be happy. From the core of our being, we desire Happiness. I have found that the more we care for the happiness and contentment of others the greater our own sense of happiness grows. This helps remove our fears or insecurities we have and gives us the strength to cope with obstacles we encounter daily. We are not solely material creatures and it would be a mistake to place our hopes for happiness on external development alone.

Compassion can start with a simple smile.  Here is a bowl of smiles I would like you to help me spread them around.Copy of bowl of smile faces
