The power of wasting time

What sort of week have you had? If you’re anything like me, this week has shot past at a hundred miles an hour, leaving you wondering where the time has gone, and what the heck you’ve managed to achieve.
We live in stressful times, and hours and minutes can sometimes be more valuable to us than money or possessions. It’s the one thing you can’t buy, and time is becoming more precious to us as we get busier and our lives fill up. E-mail, mobile phones and online messaging mean that we are on call at all hours, whereas a few years ago we knew that we could hide away indoors and not have to speak to anyone if someone needed us to do some work out of hours!
Materialism is Toxic for Happiness
Posted by: | CommentsWhat is it going to take to make you happy?
Right now I could use a new sofa and some new paint on my walls. Just a little honesty there, but what the heck I have a sofa to sit on and my walls do have paint on them, so I can live with that.
OK I’m done with the funny stuff let’s get down to business.
Can we lose our happiness with a sweet poison?

affects the body or mind in the wrong way can take your happiness within away.
I have always believed that anything artificial should not be put into the body. When they first came out with artificial sweeteners I said to me and anyone that would listen, “Someday they are going to find that this is not good for you.” I believe that day has come. Have you found that you see yourself different then what other sees you? Does any person really know who you are and what you stand for? Sometimes we hide behind a mask and not wanting someone to know us. I know I have done this many times.
When in the work environment my co workers had no idea who I really was and most people don’t really care nor have the time to figure you out. This is ok, because opinions are just that, OPINIONS.
The Power of Family Ties Brings Happiness within
Posted by: | CommentsYou can choose your friends, but you can’t choose your family. How many
times have you heard that phrase? And yet, one of the most powerful parts of our family is the fact that you didn’t choose them. They are our kin, whether we like it or not. Admittedly, it can be infuriating when your mother-in-law turns her nose up at the dust in the house, or your sibling calls in the middle of yet another crisis.
St. John’s Wort – Is it Nature’s Smile for Happiness?
Posted by: | CommentsAnti-depressants are the most prescribed drug in the US. This is an interesting fact, because it either means that people are taking responsibility for their own happiness and choosing to do something to improve it, or that we are essentially all pretty stressed with modern living.

I have to admit that this is why I found my happiness within. No I am not one of those people that go to church every chance I get. In fact I probably should go to church. I go when the little ones get baptized and maybe on a special occasion, but don’t count on it. When my children were younger I did make sure we went to church and they went to Sunday school just so they were given the opportunity to learn about Christianity like I was.
