Have you seen Mystic Salazar

You are probably wondering what this has to do with happiness.  A lot of the children that she looks for can be a runaway child or children that have gotten mixed up with the wrong people, because they are looking for happiness and love.

Here is a beautiful poem that I ran across and I feel it needs to be shared.  This little girl shows us how pride in someone can help us have happiness within.  It shows us how blessed we are, because of one little girls sacrifice.

DADDY’S POEM

Her hair was up in a pony tail, her favorite dress tied with a bow.
Today was Daddy’s Day at school, and she couldn’t wait to go.

But her mommy tried to tell her, that she probably should stay home.
Why the kids might not understand, if she went to school alone.

In raising our children we do not realize how we can be hurting them.  When I was growing up I remember how my mother (bless her heart) used  to tell me you didn’t get the dishes clean, you didn’t scrub the floor right, you can’t do that and the list went on.  She had no idea what she was really doing to me.  She thought she was teaching me and it was her way of trying to get me to do things the right way. WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!!!!  The secret to my happiness was going right out the window.

Are we making these mistakes with our children?

Are we hiding them in a bubble?  Over protecting them?  Holding back there Happiness?

There immune systems are failing, because we protect them from germs.  When you were a kid didn’t you drink out of a garden hose and run through the hose on a hot summer day?  We shared one soft drink with four friends, not from one bottle and no one actually died from this.  We didn’t have Play Stations, Nintendo’s, X-Boxes, no video games, not 150 channels on cable, no DVD’s, no cell phones or personal computers and no internet or chat rooms.  We were happy and it wasn’t costing our parents and arm and leg to keep us happy.
