How to Take Charge of Your World in 2012!

never forget1 How to Take Charge of Your World in 2012!Start your year of right by “Never Forgetting” you are the one in charge of your life.

Here are some tips that will help you do this:

Your Presence is a PRESENT to the world.  After watching “It’s a Wonderful Life” during the Christmas holiday it reminds us how important we are to this world.  Don’t ever forget the difference you make in this world.

You’re unique and one of a kind.  We are all like snowflakes; no two people are the same.

Your life can be what you want it to be.  When making decisions; always think them through carefully.  Control your emotions, don’t let emotions control you.

Take the days, just one at a time.  Tomorrow is the future, so live in the present.  We never know what the future may hold.

Count your blessings, not your troubles.  This is looking on the positive side of life.  Troubles (most of the time) take care of themselves and many times they end up being blessings that are hidden.

You’ll make it through, whatever comes along.  When you hit rough water always know that there are calmer waters ahead.  Storms never last!

Within you are so many answers.  We all have answers, just stay calm and you will find them.

Understand, have courage, be strong.  We all have courage and strength in us; know this and you will be proud of yourself.

Don’t put limits on yourself.  Take the words, “I can’t” out of your vocabulary.  Those two words do put limits on the real you.

So many dreams are waiting to be realized.  Dreams are ideas waiting to be born.  Let them live.

Decisions are too important to leave to chance.  When your gut tells you this is the right thing, go with it and trust your instincts.

Reach for your peak, your goal and your prize.   Follow through and your dreams will become reality.

Nothing wastes more energy than worrying.  Worrying is useless; it stops you from solving the problem and becoming a better you.

The longer one carry’s a problem the heavier it gets.  Problems help us grow and become the best we can be, so don’t spend time carrying them; solve them or let go of them.

Don’t take things too seriously.  Life is supposed to be fun, so don’t forget to laugh every chance to get.  Laughter builds beautiful memories.

Live a life of serenity, not a life of regrets.  With serenity you have calmness and fun, with regrets you are always looking back.  Take your regrets and learn by them and move forward with a smile.

Remember that a little love goes a long way.  Love has no boundaries, so give it out often.

Remember that a lot goes forever.  Give kindness, and good will always come back to you.

Remember that friendship is a wise investment.  Building good relationships will care you through even the darkest hours.

Life’s treasures are people…together.  Memories are built with people not things.  They are like money in the bank.

Realize it is never too late.  Dreams have no boundaries when it comes to age.  If you can dream it make it a reality.

Do ordinary things in an extraordinary way.  Never do anything half way, give it your all and have some fun.  Work hard and play hard.

Have health, hope and happiness.  Good health is a blessing, never loss hope, because there is always a blessing waiting, which with the right attitude bring happiness.

Take time to wish upon a star.  Spend time with nature and enjoy the little things.  You well find beauty.

And don’t ever forget…For even a day… How very special you are.

Happy New Year!

Debbie

  2. Nice list, albeit a bit long to remember. Reminds me of Woodie Guthrie’s famous new year resolutions journal entry (just now again making the rounds at FB).

The new year. Seems everything is in there we’d want to see. True love, a couple extra blessings from above, some brotherhood of man, self-improvement and philosophy, loving, plenty humble pie, a spoonful of forgiveness – it goes a long, long way – a pinch of kindness. Sometimes I wonder what I’m looking for. We all should do our best to get along.

PS. The above was lifted from a song. (After all, am down with a cold). First one to guess the song (right) wins a prize :-]

      Hi Beat,
Woodie Guthrie’s new year resolutions is good! Thanks for the reminder. Yes, we should all do our best to get along. Maybe if we ate more humble pie this would happen. When it comes to getting along, I find starting with the ones closest to us and working our way out to the strangers in the world.

I have know idea which song, but I’ll watch to see if anyone come up with the answer. Thanks for the challenge.
Hope your cold is getting better and Happy new year, beat.
      Blessing to you always,
      Debbie

      • Seems no-one’s hot for that 1 million dollar first price. The song is Mark Knopfler’s ‘Old Pigweed’ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTPqpTw-8xI … lol

My favorite Christmas movie of all time is “It’s a Wonderful Life.” We have a family tradition of watching it Christmas Eve. So many powerful messages in it about, well, just what you wrote about! And what a wonderful list you’ve put together! I feel so inspired.

I especially like: “Realize it’s not too late” and “Decions are too important to leave to chance.”

There is so much to do in life, so many opportunities to take advantage of, to create something truly magnifiscent out of the building blocks God has given us to contruct our lives with.

Thank you for always inspiring us, Debbie! You are a bright light in the world. And I deeply appreciate that.

Have a wonderful New Year, my friend.

      Hi Ken,

Thank you Ken, we also make a habit out of watching that movie every year. The message in it is very powerful.

Sometimes we get so worried about problems we don’t see the opportunities that are created for us. Like i always say, “Let go and let God.” He always knows what is best.

thank your for sharing and you also have a wonderful year and may you always be blessed.

  5. Hi Debbie,

Wonderful ideas to get our new year started in a positive way. I like them all, but Realize it is never too late jumped out at me. As we go through life, it’s important to not let our fears, age, lack of experience or anything stop us from following our dreams. This post is an uplifting inspirational list that would be handy to refer back to from time to time. Have an amazing 2012.
