Variety is the spice of life for happiness
By
Have you ever wanted to try something new? Take up horse riding; learn to play an instrument or maybe something else entirely? Well why not give it a go! Another popular saying is ‘life is for the living’, and what better way to live your life than to try all the rich wonderful experiences it has to offer.
Did you watch the film released in 2007, called ‘The Bucket List’? It was about two older men, both in hospital, who made a list of things they wanted to do before they died. One of these men was rich so after they left the hospital they fulfilled their lists as much as they possibly could and made their last days as precious to each other as possible. It was a beautiful movie that showed it was never too late to make the most out of your life.
Why not make your own list?
You have time stretching before you. Whether you are young or old it’s never too late to have a go. It doesn’t have to be something big, it could be as simple as trying a new type of cuisine or a new restaurant in your area. The point is; give it a go, what have you got to lose? I know someone who likes to try one or two new things every year and has picked up some really interesting hobbies along the way. They don’t always work; watching her efforts on a climbing wall at a local leisure center scared me almost as much as it scared her! But she wanted to know she could so she gave it a go.
Are you stuck in a routine?
We all lead very busy lives in this modern world, but it doesn’t have to take much to put the smile back on your face. When you’re on your lunch break from work do you always have the same sandwiches, sitting at your desk? Or do you and your friends go to the same little restaurant every day? Why not try somewhere different? Go to a store and buy yourself a wrap and a drink and go and have a picnic in the park. Sitting in the sun, or even under a shelter in the rain, and listen to the sounds around you, could recharge your batteries much more, ready for the afternoons work with renewed vigor.
Why not get your family involved?
Experts are always telling us families doing things together is good for the family unit and sweetens all our lives. Do you normally spend the evening after work and school doing separate things in separate rooms? Why not sit round the table as a family and play a board game together or all go out for a walk together. Making these little changes doesn’t have to cost anything. Take time for your partner, go do something together, maybe try a new movie in the evening.
Make the most of a bit of variety
By trying new things we open ourselves up to new experiences and new people. Meeting new people can enrich our lives even more. Give it a go, try something new today and bring a bit of variety into your life. We all know the best way to a happy life is keeping it full of variety and enjoy it to the full. Live without regrets.
Would love to hear you’re your ideas for adding variety to your life. Just leave them in the comments below.
May happiness always be there for you.

Sorry i am slow in answer your comment was out of town and my internet connection just wasn’t cooperation with me. Yes, without balance people end up putting more presser on themselves, which total takes away the happiness.

We are currently working on project intended for my computer class, we have been beginning to be trained some coding and simple web design. I must set up a blog website, was considering using wordpress as the platform it looks to be the most popular. Your entire blog site generally seems to using a customized style and some extra coding did you undertake it yourself or maybe employ a programmer? I like your over-all web design appears incredibly simple to use! Anyways I might use your actual web site as a benchmark, of course not copy it as that is certainly in opposition to our school policies and the law I do believe!
Hi Eliz,
You got thrown into the spam file, but I’ll pull you out and respond. Yes i do use WP and I do have someone that helps me. The technical stuff isn’t for me, but hey there is always a solution to a problem.
have a very happy day.
