Happiness Within Comes With Organization!
ByClutter can mess up your happiness within. I don’t know about you, but if my house gets to messy, really I am not a happy person until I do something about it. How about you? With everyone living a busy life this can be very hard to keep up with sometimes. In my Free e-book I go over this problem.
It is very important. The space around you obviously is a good indication of what is happening inside of you. If the space around you is cluttered it is a fair bet that your mind is cluttered, too.
To start with, is it apparently clear you have too much stuff? Is there stuff in ever empty space you have? If you have ever corner and shelf in your house full of stuff you probably have too much stuff.
Here are 4 questions to ask yourself about an item you don’t know what to do with.
1. Have I really used this item recently?
2. Does this item help me in any way or for my goals in life?
3. Do I really need to own this item?
4. Does it serve a purpose in my life anymore?
If the answer is no, to all four questions, it is definitely time to let it move on for a higher purpose. It is just taking up space in your house.
Clutter in your home is always right there in your face, it certainly can make you feel closed in. The thicker your clutter is, the less efficiently you can do anything. It gets in your way. Remember you would rather live in the world then accumulate part of the world. The less clutter you have I will guarantee the happier you will be. You can focus more clearly on what matters.
“Clutter keeps us from living the lives we want.” says Peter Walsh.
Here are five tips that can help with your clutter:
1.Double bag it: Take 10 minutes before dinner every night. Give every member of your family 2 trash bags, one for trash and one for charity. Now go to ever room and start picking up and placing them in the bags.
2. Get rid of the gadgets not used: Dump the contents of the junk draws in a box. Each time you use an item, put it back into the draw. After one month you’ll see which items you don’t use and you can disregard them.
3. Rule of Thumb: Get one, give one. When you buy a new book, give one a away. New purse, give one away and the list goes on.
4. Clean out the closet: Hang your clothes with hangers facing one way. After you wear and item, replace it with the hanger facing the other direction. This will help remind you of what clothes you don’t wear and can give to charity.
5. You don’t need the object, you have the memory: Let’s face it we all keep things because of memories. Remember those flowers from prom 30 years ago. You really don’t need that mess. For the ones that you really want to keep, find a chest to put them in. By doing this you have all your memories organized and in one place.
Now isn’t it time to De-junk and get happy? You are honestly going to love the way it makes you feel!
