Who Are The Happy People and Why?

I am seeing that people really want to know why some people are happy and others aren’t.

I truly believe the answer to that question has a lot to do with ones belief in God.  I am not one that goes around professing to be a Christian, but I do know in my heart there is God and there is our Savior Jesus and because of my baptism I do have the Holy Spirit in me.  I was brought up in a Christian house hold, which I am very grateful for.   I do belong to the church that I was raised in; however I do not go to church every Sunday.  Maybe I should, because I do know that it does make your faith stronger.  The last time I was in a church was when my last grandchild was baptized.  That would be 14 months ago.  I’m bad.

I do say my prayers every night and realize that I wouldn’t be happy in this life if it weren’t for the Good Lord and I never under estimate his power and the way he guides me. Here is a verse from Matthew 5:3-10.  This is Jesus teaching, which I feel he was the greatest salesman ever to walk this earth.  He says:

Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

You go to your dictionary and the meaning of the word BLESSED MEAN:

To make happy, blithesome, or joyous; to confer prosperity or happiness upon; to grant divine favor to. [1913 Webster]

Now go to the Wiki answer for blessed and you get: to cause to prosper, to make happy, to bestow blessings on.

I have my problems just like anyone else, but because of my beliefs I can get through them.  I know that I’m not in this world by myself and this makes me happy within, so I can enjoy the little things in life.  The important stuff, which I am very grateful for!
