Hi Jon,

Yes, I too believe that gratitude is a big part of happiness. when we are grateful for what we have we stop searching for material things to make us happy. And we all know that you can not find happiness in the material things in this world. They may give us a jolt of happiness for a while, but it does not last.
Thank you for sharing you thoughts and how you found your happiness.
Blessing always,
Debbie

Totally awesome article. Happiness is an inside job not an outside one. I have found gratitude to be necessary for happiness. The more I am grateful for the happier I seem to be and gratitude is something I can choose to practice.

Hi Luis,

You are right family is one of the indicators of happiness. It is very important to resolve all family conflicts. If we don't take the time to do this when those conflicts come up they just build until the relationship breaks. Life is to short to let those little things go unresolved. thank you for stopping by and I tried to click on your link, but am getting an error message. Would love to check out your site.
Blessing to you,
Debbie

Hi debbie!

I think one of the most important indicators of happiness is family. Based on my experience, when you are experiencing family problem, it seems that you are not in the mood always, and sad most of the time. So, it is important to resolve all family conflicts if you can, because it is a hindrance towards happiness. :)

Andrew does practice what he says. I spent sometime with him last year and he truly does love what he does. And I might add that he is very good at it. My blog would probably be a mess if it wasn't for him LOL

Thank you for your comment and glad that you choose happiness, it is after all the only way in my book.
Blessing to you,
Debbie

I love that thought Andrew. My Father has always told me, "If you love something with a passion - you'll find a way to do it as your profession." It's certainly true. I'd much rather do my passion for work - versus sitting at a desk doing something I hate, day in and day out. I never want that to be my path. I choose happiness! :)

I remember some advice I was given a few years back about work..."If you would do you work for no money in return, then you are truly happy in your work".

I always remember that.

Money really has no bearing on happiness, as happiness is a choice, a decision or way of life. You have to chose to be happy and no searching for it or anything in life can bring it. Those people are actually happiest in the search, so it continues to drive them instead of being content and grateful and happy with how things are. Good advice here, I hope I've added a bit more to the article.
